Sermayeni̇n Sanat Senfonisi, (The Art Symphony of the Capital) is a data-driven composition which investigates the relationship between the capital network and contemporary art scene in Turkey through researching the most frequently used words in the major newspapers’ contemporary art articles.
According to the research on 38 articles published on 2012 - 2013 on Hürriyet, Milliyet, Sabah, and Cumhuriyet newsletters, "million," "billion", "lira", "investment", "sales", "Istanbul", "Turkey" and "world" words are used at least 100 times. The words "enterprise", "economy" "percentage", "Turkish", "dollar", "management" and "collector" were used at least 50 times. Apart from the proper nouns such as "Eczacıbaşı", "Koç", "Sabancı", "Zorlu" (major holding companies in Turkey) ; "Dubai", "real estate", "transformation", "foreign", "sector", "market", "supply", "demand", "market", "holding company", "KDV (VAT), "Islam", "record" (e.g hit record high) were used at least 20 times.
